Gourmet restaurant with Michelin star in Alsace
Le Cheval Blanc in Lembach, 3 toques in the Gault & Millau guide
The Dining Room - Pascal Bastian Restaurant, Michelin starred
With a delightfully welcoming feel, the dining room at Le Cheval Blanc in Alsace has a beautiful and subtle decor. It’s the ideal place in which to sample the Chef’s cuisine and to enjoy a delicious culinary experience during a romantic dinner or a lunch with family or friends, less than 45 minutes from Strasbourg.
With its magnificent fireplace, gorgeous coffered ceilings and stained glass windows, this beautifully lit room is instantly appealing. Period features are paired with more modern decorative touches: an incredibly delicate chandelier, white tablecloths, delicate crystal storks and warm grey tableware.
Everything has been carefully considered to create an elegant simplicity and an intimate atmosphere in which guests can savour the Alsatian art de vivre.
The Cuisine
Creative, exciting, surprising
This comfortable, sophisticated and inviting room is the perfect setting in which to experience Chef Pascal Bastian’s cuisine.
He chooses exceptional products from trusted suppliers to create bold and flavourful dishes. While paying homage to the traditions which form a cornerstone of his cuisine, this double Michelin-starred chef from Alsace adds touches of modernity and takes bold risks with ingredients from further afield: grilled peanuts and sesame are served with local beef, a pinch of ginger is used to season Fleckenstein venison.
Driven by his desire to inspire, please and surprise, Chef Bastian creates generous and flavourful dishes which are as surprising and subtle as they are delicious.
The wine cellar
Food and wine pairing
To ensure the perfect accompaniment to the Chef’s carefully prepared dishes, the gourmet restaurant Le Cheval Blanc has a wine cellar with more than 11,000 bottles of wine from all over France. Although vintages from Alsace are given pride of place, other regions are not to be out done; you’re sure to find the perfect wine to accompany your dish. Our sommelier, Jonathan Pral , is happy to offer invaluable advice to help you to find the perfect pairing.
